Museo ng Muntinlupa
For a weekend activity with the family, feed your history brain cells and take Instagram-worthy pics at the same time at the newly opened Museo ng Muntinlupa. Inaugurated just last March, the museum provides a free deep-dive into the city's rich history. Not to mention the architecure, particularly of the building's exterior, is definitely a sight to see. Inspired by the salakab, a traditional Filipino fishing trap, its facade is a tribute to Muntinlupa's central fishing industry.
The five storey museum houses a main gallery, an interactive science center, a mini theater, plus a space for guests to relax and dine after a day of exploring the area.

In the mood for a complex drama? Boasting a star-studded cast of characters including Nicole Kidman, Ansel Elgort, Sarah Paulson, and Finn Wolfhard, The Goldfinch might just be the movie you're looking for. Based on the Pulitzer prize winning novel by Donna Tartt, it chronicles the life of a young boy who, as he grows older, searches for the last bit of connection he has with his mother after losing her to a bombing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art at the early age of 13.
When: September 25
If you're up for a little more thrill, psyche yourself up for a horror movie instead, like The Haunt. Out in theaters on September 25, the movie follows a group of overzealous friends who gamely enter an "extreme" haunted house on Halloween night. Promising to feed on their darkest fears, things go awry when their childish adventure gets all too real.
