He comes from an affluent family.
Daniel was born on December 15, 1995 to Martin Miranda and Angelique Lhuillier. His mother is one of the owners of the auction house Casa de Memoria, as well as the restored pre-war Manila mansion Palacio de Memoria.
Through Angelique, Daniel is the grandson of Philippe and Edna Diago Lhuillier. Philippe currently serves as the Philippine ambassador to Spain and is also the president and CEO of Cebuana Lhuillier, the country’s largest pawnshop chain.

Daniel and actress Sofia Andres prefer to keep things private, but not secret. One thing they speak about openly and with ease is their experience as parents to their five-year-old daughter, Zoe.

The actress gave birth in November 2019. Months later, she shared a video of her pregnancy journey to express her utmost gratitude for the people who were with her every step of the way. There, she revealed the she and Daniel have been together for four years before Zoe came, which means the couple is now approaching a decade.
They stayed in Australia for that duration as Daniel was studying at the time Sofia conceived. "Daniel has been there every step of the way. Every travels, night cravings, gatherings. And I'd be there too in his train rides and classes," she shared. "And when I'm stressed out, he'd wake up in the middle of the night to massage me, to comfort me. It's his way of telling me that we are in this together."

He’s the younger brother of Ella Pangilinan’s husband.
Among Daniel’s siblings is businessman Enrique Miranda, who wed socialite Ella Pangilinan in 2023.

Enrique and Ella were introduced by a common friend of their clans, and with their close familial relationship, Ella is the godmother of Daniel and Sofia’s lovely Zoe!
He’s a racecar driver.
Taking after his father’s love for adrenaline as a karter, motocross rider, and drag racer, Daniel pursued competitive racing early on. He began exploring the sport at just 12 years old, and by around 17, he was already named Philippine Karter of the Year. This is just one of his many accomplishments in the sport, having competed professionally in races across Macau, Indonesia, Singapore, and beyond.

In a recent interview with Melai Cantiveros, Daniel and Sofia shared how social media plays a role in their relationship. The online world can provide more noise than necessary, which is why Daniel expressed his preference for communicating with his partner privately.
