The first-ever Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale recently came to a close and a fourth Filipina drag queen was inducted into the Drag Race Hall of Fame—Brigiding! Taking a seat at the winners' circle, Brigiding joins Precious Paula Nicole, Captivating Katkat, and Maxie, who won Drag Race Philippines' seasons 1 to 3, respectively.
Brigiding bested four fellow Filipina drag queens—Viñas Deluxe, Arizona Brandy, Khianna, and Bernie, and 7 Asian queens—Suki Doll from Canada, Yuhua from the USA, Siam Phusri from Thailand, Kitty Space from France, Ivory Glaze from Australia, Sum Ting Wong from the UK, and Madame Yoko from Belgium.

1. She is a Pisces.
Brigiding "Gigi" Aricheta was born on February 26, 1992, making her 33 years old when the crown was placed on her head. Her name Brigiding is a portmanteau of "Brigs," which is taken from her grandfather's name "Brigido," and "bading."
2. She is part of the inaugural season of Drag Race Philippines.
She initially competed on the first season of Drag Race Philippines back in 2022. Being one of the prominent names in the local drag scene, Brigiding immediately established herself as a threat. Unfortunately, she was eliminated on the eighth episode and placed 6th overall.
3. She is a drag mother.
Brigiding established a drag framily—the House of Ding, where she serves as the drag mother of Zymba Ding and Bomba Ding. On the subject of drag family, Brigiding shared in 2024 that she was welcomed into the drag family of RuPaul's Drag Race season 9 winner Sasha Velour.
4. She is a member of the "Divine Divas."
Birthed during the pandemic, the Divine Divas is a trio made up of Brigiding, Precious Paula Nicole, and Viñas Deluxe. The trio headlined their own concert at the New Frontier Theater in 2023, then released a single Oh, Divine Diva the following year. Finally, the trio co-owns Rampa, a drag club in Quezon City.
5. She has one of the best track records.
In addition to winning, Brigiding is celebrated for having one of the best track records in all of Drag Race's franchises. She is the fifth queen overall to have won five maxi challenges in a single season, four of which were consecutive. She also never placed below safe.
