BINI’s rise from local stages to one of the world’s most prestigious music festivals is nothing short of historic. The eight-member P-pop girl group is officially part of the Coachella 2026 lineup, making them the first Filipino girl group to perform at the globally renowned event.
The announcement, which came in mid-September, placed BINI alongside international heavyweights like Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G. But according to Star Magic head Lauren Dyogi, the Coachella invite was less about luck and more about timing, preparation, and the bold step of sending BINI on their first world tour.
Lauren Dyogi on BINI Being Invited to Coachella
In an interview on KC After Hours with Karmina Constantino, Lauren Dyogi revealed that BINI’s world tour was a major turning point. “Laging ang nasa utak natin, one way to go international is to be invited in big festivals [like] Coachella and Lollapalooza… It was a vision of [ABS-CBN CEO] Carlo Katigbak to hire an international group of consultants who will guide us in terms of how do we bring our artists to the global arena,” Lauren explained, as reported by ABS-CBN.

Through international agents, BINI was introduced to global promoters from Live Nation and All Things Live. Their performances abroad—including stops in Dubai, Los Angeles, and San Francisco—proved they could draw crowds, which impressed the decision-makers behind Coachella. “Itong recent world tour, it was an investment. Wala tayong kita diyan. It was really a risk on our end… But we took that risk, we went there,” Lauren said.
He also addressed speculation that ABS-CBN paid for the slot. “Sinasabi ng tao ngayon binayaran daw natin, hindi naman po totoo ’yun,” he clarified.

For BINI, the news was both overwhelming and surreal. “They knew how much we wanted to do Coachella and they helped us secure the opportunity! We’re so thankful,” the group said in an interview with Inquirer.net USA, crediting agency Wasserman for helping land the slot.
They are slated to appear at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California on April 10 and 17, 2026, with both weekends giving them a spot on one of the world’s most-watched festival stages.
