The 72nd Miss World pageant was held in Telengana, India on May 31, 2025. The Filipina was one of the two candidates who represented the continent in the Top 8, the other being Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand.
With Opal ultimately securing the coveted blue crown and earning her country their first Miss World title, Krishnah was set to conclude her journey right then and there. Megan Young remains the only Filipina to have won in the pageant, following her success in 2013.

However, adding to the many twists and turns of the contest was an off-stage announcement over an hour after the show ended. The new continental queens were presented, and Krishnah was rightfully one of them.
Given her answer in the competition’s Q&A portion that “a continental winner should have a belief in interconnectedness,” Krishnah’s reign as Miss World Asia is something to look forward to. Below, we’ve listed key facts to know about her.
Who Is Krishnah Gravidez? Facts About the Newly Crowned Miss World Asia
She was born in Ilocos Sur.
Krishnah was born on October 11, 2000 in Ilocos Sur. However, being raised in Baguio, she represents the summer capital in the pageants she partakes in.
She started joining pageants at only six years old.
In an Instagram post back in 2023, Krishnah shared her very first pageant experience. She wrote in the caption, “Being a child, what I had in mind was just to enjoy the ‘now’ then I saw these pictures. I said, ‘Someday I want to be a model.’ That's when I planted a seed for my future self.” The contest was held in Santiago, Ilocos Sur. That night, she earned her first crown, which served as a stepping stone for her to get to where she is today.

She dreams of becoming a civil engineer.
Embodying both beauty and brains, Krishnah initially pursued engineering at Baguio’s Saint Louis University before transferring to Ilocos Sur’s University of Northern Philippines. She was raised by her grandmother and her single mom, and their family’s financial status was one of the reasons behind her early foray into pageantry.
She has also experienced selling lip tints, working fast-food shifts, and freelancing in advertising to pay for her tuition and support her education.
She founded a nonprofit organization called Color the World with Kindness.
In her Head to Head Challenge Presentation for Miss World, Krishnah shared, “I founded Color the World with Kindness in the year 2022 to create safe and nurturing spaces for children to play, to dream, to imagine, and just be children, free from labor, free from unsafe conditions.” Apart from the upholding of children’s rights, she is also driven by other advocacies such as animal welfare.

Krishnah joined Miss Universe Philippines 2023, where she finished as part of the Top 5 and was chosen as the country’s representative for Miss Charm International 2024. Over a year after her appointment, she announced her withdrawal from the candidacy, saying, “It has been an honor to be part of such prestigious competitions, and I am truly grateful for the experiences and friendships I have gained along the way.”
The stunner was revealed to be embarking on her journey as a candidate in Miss World not long after.
