Netizens aren’t happy about Kim Chiu after the actress seemingly made a dig at Ryzza Mae Dizon during a skit on It’s Showtime.

The segment involved Brent Manalo trying to tell an oblivious Kim that something was behind her. “Si Lotus Feet asa likod mo!” said the actor. When Kim turned around, she jumped at the sight of Jugs Jugueta dressed as the Feng Shui character.

In her surprise, Kim yelled, “Ayy, bakit si Ryzza Mae?” This prompted Jugs to do Ryzza’s signature Cha-Cha Dabarkads dance, as the other dancers and hosts joined in on the joke.

FYI, Lotus Feet is named after the now banned Chinese practice of binding young girls’ feet to keep them from growing.

Netizens React to Kim Chiu’s “Bad Joke” About Ryzza Mae Dizon

This part of the episode that aired last June 20, 2026 later went viral as netizens called out Kim for her “tasteless” remark. One Reddit user pointed out that beyond basic etiquette, targeting another person for a joke “is just plain mean.”

Others praised Ryzza’s beauty instead, and noticed her graceful glow-up from child star to a full-fledged host on Eat Bulaga!.

In a change of perspective, other commenters pointed out that Vice Ganda often gets to joke with the same humor without drawing criticism. "Kung si Vice 'to walang papalag," said one user.

Others chalked up the incident to the show’s scriptwriters, while some are saying that Jugs’s resemblance to Ryzza has long been a running joke among the hosts.

Kim has yet to comment on the issue, but one person who’s ostensibly come to Ryzza’s defense is the Queen of All Media Kris Aquino, who surprised viewers during a recent episode of Eat Bulaga!.

Kris came on to support her son Bimby Aquino-Yap for his current gig on the show as a guest host and one half of Eat Bulaga’s fast-growing tandem “MaeBy,” alongside Ryzza.

After telling Ryzza to give her “future mother-in-law” a kiss, she followed it up with a few words of encouragement. “I love you. Dun sa nabalitaan kong nang-aapi sa yo, don’t mind them, because success is the best revenge,” Kris told Ryzza.
