Kathryn Bernardo's stature is officially immortalized with the unveiling of her Madame Tussauds wax figure last July 9. At the official launch event held in Makati, the actress finally met her "Kath-twin" in front of her friends, family, and supporters.

In the works since the last quarter of 2025, the figure dons one of Kathryn's most memorable ensembles, crafted by none other than Filipino designer Martin Bautista.

"My wax figure is a reminder that big dreams are valid, and Filipino talent belongs on the global stage," Kathryn expressed upon meeting her likeness. The figure donned the exact same outfit worn by the actress when she recognized as the "Outstanding Asian Star" at the 2023 Seoul International Drama Awards. Made by Preview Best Filipino Fashion Designer 2024 honoree Martin Bautista, the ensemble comprised of an ivory-hued corset top with metallic fringe, a matching maxi skirt, and an elongated scarf.

Choosing the right outfit for her wax figure required rigorous deliberation. In a past interview with Preview, Kathryn expressed that, "we needed to choose something very timeless, very 'me,' and something na, you know, 'di nakakasawang tingnan." She further describes the look as a representation of one of her biggest milestones as a celebrity, saying that it's "a reminder [of my] journey bilang artista."

At the event, Gateway Hong Kong and Merlin Entertainments General Manager Wade Chang expressed that, "we recognize true Filipino talent that shines through different industries and categories... We can attest to the fact that Filipino talents and their supporters really are something else, so we do our best to continue growing this relationship and reach more Filipino audiences in our attraction."

With the introduction of her likeness, Kathryn officially becomes the fifth Filipino figure to grace the halls of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, following in the likes of Anne Curtis, Catriona Gray, and Pia Wurtzbach.

Back in August, when she first took her measurements for the figure, Kathryn expressed that she takes great pride in representing Filipino talent at the famed wax museum. "I never thought that this would happen, to be honest. Nandoon ako representing the film industry and my fellow Filipinos," she said.

Upon finally meeting her likeness at the launch event, she echoed the sentiment, stating: "At the end of the day, I’m just so proud to be here as a Filipina, and I hope it makes everyone feel the same about who we are and what we can do."
