Following its highly successful first run, Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab just returned for a new season last October 25, 2025. This second season introduces a fresh roster of personalities, which includes rising actor Iñigo Jose.

As viewers get to know the housemates, many are curious about the young talent and his background. Here’s a quick guide to who he is beyond the show.

  1. He’s a Taurus.

Iñigo Jose, whose full name is Joaquin Iñigo Castillo, was born on April 20, 2005. He is currently 20 years old.

  1. He’s the son of actor James Blanco.

Iñigo is the son of 2000s heartthrob James Blanco with Fil-Kiwi model Tania Creighton. He is the eldest among his siblings, Sebastian and Natalia.

  1. He hails from Parañaque City.

Inside the Pinoy Big Brother house, he carries the moniker “Ang Caring Kuya ng Parañaque.”

  1. He's a second-year college student.

Iñigo is currently completing a degree in Early Childhood Education at De La Salle University. In an episode of Tao Po, a show hosted by journalist Bernadette Sembrano, he talked about his growing interest in the course and how it helped him imagine a future in education.


“I was kind of enjoying it… and as I [went] into the course, sabi ko, I can put business into that. So instead of me being a teacher, I can have my own school,” he shared.

  1. He’s signed with Star Magic.

Last July, Iñigo formally joined Star Magic, ABS-CBN’s talent management arm. Aside from his PBB stint, he’s also set to make an appearance in the network’s newest action-drama thriller called Roja, which stars Donny Pangilinan and Kyle Echarri.

  1. He’s a model.

Before debuting as an actor, Iñigo started out as a model. Signed with Mercator, one of the country’s leading modeling agencies, his portfolio includes a campaign for streetwear brand Conceit and walking the runway during Bench Fashion Week.

Sports have been part of Iñigo’s life since he was five years old. He played varsity basketball in high school and now frequently spends time at the gym.
