Eve is set to play Ruthye Marye Knoll, an alien farmhand who plays a huge catalyst in driving Supergirl’s plot forward. Ruthye tags along with the heroine, played by Milly Alcock, as she seeks revenge for the death of her father who was murdered by the movie’s central villain, Krem of the Yellow Hills.

Eve is 14 years old, but she was only 12 when she auditioned for the role. In a media interview, Eve recalled throughly enjoying the two months of stunt training she went through to prepare for playing Ruthye. She had to learn martial arts, boxing, wire work, and how to wield a sword, all for the first time. “It was the most fun. I would do it a million times again if I could,” said Eve.

FYI, the young actress was born in Tyneside, England. Her grandmother is a Filipina who lived in the Philippines, which makes Eve’s mom, Monalisa Ridley, half-Filipina. Eve admits that she’s yet to step foot in the Philippines, but she does hope to visit soon when she can.

"It looks like such a beautiful island country. I really want to go to one of the beaches there. They look so tropical and gorgeous. I really want to learn Tagalog as well because, you know, I get to communicate with family over there.”

When asked if she’s had a taste of Filipino food, Eve mentioned that she’s tried buko pie after a friend from school gave her a slice. She adds, “It's the most delicious thing I've ever tried!”

Supergirl is Eve’s first movie role. Prior to this, she once played a younger version of Eponine in a UK staging of Les Misérables. She also starred in Netflix’s 3 Body Problem and the fantasy drama The Witcher.

Catch Eve in Supergirl when the movie lands in the Philippines on June 24, 2026.
