Conan O'Brien Arrives in Manila for His Travel Show "Conan O'Brien Must Go"

It’s not every day you spot one of America’s most beloved comedians wandering through Manila. Emmy-winning TV star Conan O’Brien is in town to film his travel series Conan O’Brien Must Go, and his arrival has already sent local fans into a frenzy.

Conan confirmed his arrival on Instagram with a warm greeting: “Mabuhay, Philippines! Just landed in Manila to shoot #ConanOBrienMustGo and I’ve already met so many amazing people.”

The post featured photos of the comedian surrounded by fans snapping selfies in what appears to be Bonifacio Global City (BGC). The sight of the tall redhead quickly drew attention, with locals and longtime fans sharing photos online to celebrate the much-awaited visit.

This marks Conan’s first time filming in the Philippines, a destination often mentioned by his Filipino followers in comment sections and fan threads. True to form, he seemed to embrace the city’s energy right away by stopping to chat with fans as phones came out for photos.

Conan O’Brien Must Go follows the comedian as he travels the world to meet fans he previously connected with on his podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Fan. The HBO Max series captures his signature mix of curiosity, absurdity, and spontaneous humor, that’s part travelogue, part cultural exchange–and always unmistakably Conan.

Past episodes have seen him in Norway, Thailand, and Argentina, where his awkward charm and improvisational wit led to hilariously endearing moments. With Manila now on his itinerary, fans can expect plenty of laughter, local flavor, and the kind of cultural chaos that only Conan can turn into comedy gold.

Conan O'Brien Must Go is streaming on HBO Max.
