Alexie Brooks bested 36 other candidates at the Miss Eco International 2025 pageant.

Congratulations are in order for 24-year-old Alexie Brooks for winning the Miss Eco International 2025 competition! Besting 36 candidates from around the world, the Iloilo-raised beauty queens adds another crown to the Philippines' list of pageant victories. She succeeds Angelina Usanova of Ukraine, who passed the crown last April 20 in Alexandria, Egypt.

Who Is Alexie Brooks? Facts About the Filipina Beauty Queen

1. Alexie is a Pisces

Alexie was born on February 21, 2001 in Lebanon to a Black American father and a Filipina mother. She came of age in the town of Leon in Iloilo, where she grew close to her grandparents.

2. Alexie is a Marketing Management graduate

Alexie studied Business Management at the National University in Manila, taking on a major in Marketing Management. Impressively, she completed her studies in 2024, around the same time when she competed at the Miss Universe Philippines pageant.

3. Alexie is a national athlete

Before entering the world of beauty queens, Alexie was a track and field athlete who represented the National University in inter-school competitions. In 2022, the University Athletic Association of the Philippines, abbreviated as the UAAP, named her as a Most Valuable Player. In the same year, she flew to Vietnam for the annual Southeast Asian Games.

4. Alexie identifies as genderfluid

In an Instagram post, Alexie got candid about her identity, proudly declaring that she is genderfluid. "I am a woman—sometimes embracing my masculine side, other times my feminine side—and that complexity is part of what makes me whole," she wrote. Often, you can catch her expressing this duality through her OOTDs.

5. Alexie is the third Filipina to win Miss Eco International

Following in the footsteps of Cynthia Thomalla in 2018 and Kathleen Paton in 2022, Alexie deservingly takes home the Miss Eco International crown. After making waves in the preliminaries, she also won the Best National Costume award for her Philippine Eagle-inspired ensemble by Tata Pinuela.

During the ultimate interview portion, she was asked for her thoughts on "fashion that cares for the future". With this prompt, she stated: "We need to understand that fashion is not only about glamour or about luxury. It's about thinking about the environment."

"At the end of the day, if we want to protect our nature and our environment, we need to stay sustainable, especially [with] fashion."
