Born in 2006, the Fil-Taiwanese beauty is the youngest daughter in her family. While her two siblings Jose and Elliana have already moved out to study college abroad, Emman still lives in the country with her parents. Currently, Emman is a senior high school student at International School Manila. Over her summer break last July, Emman flew to New York to enroll at Parsons Summer Academy, an intensive design course for young artists under Parsons School of Design. The initiative came after she herself was diagnosed with Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPDS) with paranoid and borderline features. Prior to that, she was misdiagnosed with depression and even tried to take her own life. “Mental health shouldn't be stigmatized,” Emman once wrote on Instagram, opening up about struggling with her mental well-being. "We need to get rid of the words 'crazy' or 'deranged' from being associated to mental illness. I am a person. The same as the next.”
5. Emman Atienza isn’t afraid to stand up to bashers.
In the same way that she’s outspoken about mental health, Emman is also not afraid to call out rude bashers online. Case in point: She had the best response to netizens who criticized her for posting “revealing” and “nagpapa-sexy” photos.
