PARIS, FRANCE—Slowly picking up the pieces from a tragic loss, the city of lights once again boomed its usual golden roar over the weekend as it prepared to celebrate one of its most glamorous events—le Bal des Débutantes. Bringing together some of the most famous surnames from around the globe, the Palais de Chaillot glittered with 24 young ladies pimped in their couture gowns and haute jewelry as they made their formal debut into society. Two-time Preview cover girl Dominique Cojuangco was one of them.
Following the footsteps of Paloma and Monica Urquijo Zobel, Natalia Zobel, and Emily Madrigal, the 20-year-old daughter of actress and socialite Gretchen Barretto and business tycoon Tonyboy Cojuangco took her place as the fifth Philippine representative at Le Bal, escorted by her dashing cavalier Viscount Emilion de Roquefeuil. Dominique wore a bright red Vivienne Westwood gown and danced the waltz with her father who celebrated his birthday over the weekend, as well.
Congratulations, Dom!
