When one thinks of Australia, what immediately comes to mind are the vibrant city of Sydney in New South Wales, the Instagram-worthy places in Melbourne in Victoria, and the cultural hubs of Brisbane in Queensland. But the continent's fourth most populous city—Perth—is also a perfect destination if you love the great outdoors. This town on Australia's west coast boasts of sprawling city parks, white-sand beaches, and colorful snorkeling spots. And Philippine Airlines hopes to bring more Filipino travelers to this part of the world through a direct flight schedule starting on March 30, 2020.
This is the country's first and only non-stop route between Western Australia and the Philippines. The flight takes four hours and a half through the long-range Airbus321neo aircraft. The 168-seater plane features reclining seats that can be turned into full flat beds for business class, and spacious legroom for economy class. All cabin classes have the myPAL eSuite Personal TV screens, which has more than 300 hours of movies, TV, and music. With this direct flight, you can squeeze in two movies before you arrive at your destination.
PR223 departs from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 12:05 a.m. and arrives at Perth Airport at 7:20 a.m. (local time); while PR224 leaves Perth at 8:40 a.m. (local time) and touches down in Manila at 3:50 a.m. on the same days.
