If you've had enough of the ube cheese pandesal trend or your run-of-the-mill ube cake, we've got another ube dessert that you'll want to try. Meet CRVE by Cara's crave-inducing Ube Creme Brulee Cake.
This combination of two popular desserts (ube cake and creme brulee) is made with soft ube-flavored cake, ube-flavored cream filling, then topped with homemade custard and finished with burnt sugar. The caramelized sugar crown which you can crack using a fork reveals the soft layer of creamy custard underneath it.
If you're more of a yema fan than a custard person, CRVE by Cara also has an Ube Yema Tres Leches cake on the menu. This milky cake is made with cloud-like ube chiffon cake soaked in three kinds of milk (hence its name), topped with lightly sweetened ube whipped cream, and a drizzle of homemade yema sauce.
You can order CRVE by Cara's Ube Creme Brulee Cake (P850/9-inch round cake) and the Ube Yema Tres Leches (P850/10x12-inch tray) through this order form.
