After giving birth to their daughter Amarah last February 2015 and confirming their engagement roughly four months ago, actress Cristine Reyes and her boyfriend of two years, Ali Khatibi, finally tied the knot today, January 27, in a very intimate wedding ceremony held at Balesin Island Club in Polillo, Quezon.
Instead of donning a fancy embellished gown made by a big-ticket designer, Cristine walked down the aisle in a simple white frock with her long hair down adorned with a flower crown. And get this—she wore a pair of slippers! She didn’t have a makeup artist or a hair stylist, but she managed to look like a glowing bride anyway.
Unlike your usual celebrity weddings filled with star-studded guests and lavish decorations, the couple chose to take the opposite route as they start a whole new chapter of their lives as husband and wife. Not much preparation has been made and only a handful of guests were invited, but the intimate gathering went perfectly—just the way they wanted.
