The COVID-19 outbreak might just be the worst public health crisis in recent memory. The United States has recently outranked China as the country with the most cases of the virus, with over 100,000 total cases and over 2000 deaths as of press time. Despite that, there's a silver lining: over 3,000 people have recovered, and, with many having weathered through a mild case of the infection in the confines of their homes.

These last two details, the optimistic details, often go unseen. The loudest pieces of reportage are the saddest ones. But in a milieu where the main apparatus of information-gathering is the wifi-jacked handheld cellphone, the loudest news might not be the ones we necessarily need, at least not all the time. 

Counterbalance your daily dose of awful information with these good bits. In times like these, good news act as much-needed snorkels in such an absurd world. Stay healthy, and take breather every now and then!
