The preparations that come with planning a big and significant event such as a wedding is quite tedious. Every small detail is taken into consideration, even down to the color scheme, in order to achieve a picturesque day that will leave a memorable impression on both the couple and their guests. While all those involved work hard to attain the picture-perfect nuptials, this particular romantic celebration stands out for its immaculate styling that looks as though it came straight out of a painting.

When couple Christian Merck Grey and Pamela Grey embarked on the journey to spend the rest of their lives together, they sought out stylist to the stars Gideon Hermosa and his dream team to bring their idyllic nuptials to life. “We wanted a classy, sexy, yet simple wedding and [Gideon] made it possible through his amazing talent,” said Pamela in a conversation with Preview.

Mirroring the couple’s request, Gideon conceptualized an “opulent garden” theme for their ceremony, noting that Christian and Pamela “were very chill and gave us complete freedom for styling and direction. They just provided their preferred colors and elements, and we worked around it.”
The bride’s main inspiration for what she considers her dream wedding is the romantic yet risque novel Fifty Shades of Grey. Pamela explained, “I dreamt of a wedding that would make me feel like Anastasia Steele (the lead female star of the novel) and it’s funny that the guy I married happened to have the same name as the lead male character of the book–Christian Grey.”

The cobblestoned walls of their chosen location, 8 Century Events and Catering, added a rustic vibe to the whole space, to which Gideon says “was charming enough that we only enhanced its existing beauty.” To put the event together, he and his team worked with an abundance of greenery, consisting of a combination of burgundy-colored leaves, green leaves, and varying hues of purple and red flowers to further accentuate the venue.

This extended onto Christian and Pamela’s reception, where a tree situated in the middle of the venue served as the focal point of the evening’s festivities. Drawing inspiration from this, Gideon came up with a design where the intimate party could “dine under a giant flowering tree surrounded with blooms.”
