Even with her cold demeanor and borderline ruthless attitude as Choi Nam-ra in All of Us Are Dead, we just can't help but adore Cho Yi Hyun. In fact, her portrayal of Room 2-5's stoic class president only made us much bigger fans of her. But even before the Netflix series took the world by storm, Yi Hyun, in particular, has already been making a name for herself—and she's only in her early 20s, mind you.

Years later after losing a crucial match, Ji-cheol is faced with a peculiar proposition to regain his fame, and to make a dubious amount of cash along the way. In this family drama, Yi Hyun plays Kim Se-jung, a good friend of Young-sun.

2. Less Than Evil (2018)

An adaptation of British detective series Luther, Woo Tae-suk (Shin Ha Kyun) chases after seductive psychopath Eun Sun-jae (Lee Seol) as he tries to resolve cases allegedly caused by her. One of the incidents Tae-suk is determined to get to the bottom of involves Bae Yeo-wool (played by Yi Hyun), who fell victim to one of Sun-jae's fatal schemes.

3. My Country: The New Age (2019)

Set in between the Goryeo and Joseon dynasty of medieval Korea, Seo Hwi (Yang Se Jong) and Nam Seon-ho (Woo Do Hwan) are two soldiers who settle their differences in order to protect their country and the people they care for. One of those people for Seo Hwi is his sister and Yi Hyun's character, Seo Yeon.

4. Hospital Playlist (2020-2021)

What do you get when you put a band of five friends, endearing music, and a bustling hospital in one drama? You get one of the highest-rated Korean dramas in history (so far)!

Ik-jun (Jo Jung Suk), Jeong-won (Yoo Yeon Seok), Jun-wan (Jung Kyung Ho), Seok-hyeong (Kim Dae Myung) and Song-hwa (Jeon Mi Do) are all doctors who go through the motions of their profession at Yulje Medical Center. Yi Hyun joins the mix as Jang Yun-bok, a third year medical school student, and later on, an intern at their hospital.

5. How to Buy a Friend (2020)

Buckle up, because this teen drama isn't just about high school romance or hallway gossip. This 2020 series revolves around Heo Don-hyuk (Shin Seung Ho), who makes a deal with Park Chan-hong (Lee Shin Young) to protect him from his bully, under one condition: He has to help him find out why his girlfriend, Shin Seo-jung (played by Yi Hyun), suddenly took her own life.

6. School 2021 (2021)

Ji-won (Yi Hyun), Ki-joon (Kim Yo Han), Young-joo (Choo Young Woo), and Seo-young (Hwang Bo Reum Byeol) are a clique of adolescents going through the ups and downs of high school as they find themselves and their places in each other's lives. For their performances in this coming-of-age drama, Yi Hyun won the Best Couple Award alongside Yo Han at the 2021 KBS Drama Awards.
