Meet Chapters, the team behind this year's slew of short fashion films—from the ABS-CBN Ball 2019 to last Halloween's Black Magic party—a.k.a. the high-quality content fans always hope for from their favorite celebs.
Collaborative, creative, and client-centric, Chapters was borne from Mayad Studios, a sought-after 13-year-old wedding videography and photography team that operates with the same values. Where Mayad caters to capturing your happily ever after, Chapters, on the other hand, works on bringing a brand or company's visual dreams into reality, as their impressive portfolio includes prominent brands like Starbucks, Pandora, and Dior. Not to mention, they can do just about anything for their clients, from photography, to fashion editorials, to music videos, to digital commercials—even event coverages and brand AVPs.
"We love meeting with our clients to better understand them and from there we make sure that we ask the right questions and identify with them what they need," Chapters' Excecutive Producer, Andy Tan, tells Preview. "The main aesthetic of Chapters is elegant, stylish, and sophisticated in terms of both shooting and editing."

What’s Chapters all about and how did it start out?
"As Mayad Studios has been making a name for itself in the wedding industry for the last 13 years, it gave them the opportunity to meet different kinds of clients, some of which began asking if the company creates corporate videos. They saw the demand for it, and so five years ago, they created a corporate arm to accommodate these requests for corporate videos, which we now know as Chapters."
What’s the story behind the brand's name?
"Since this was the first venture of Mayad that was not related to weddings and life events, it was considered a new 'chapter' for Mayad Creatives Inc. From there, it became Chapters."
How would you describe you brand’s overall aesthetic?
"Chapters caters to many different kinds of client, but we make sure that all the works that we do are in line with our style. The main aesthetic of Chapters is elegant, stylish, and sophisticated in terms of both shooting and editing."
Could you take us through your usual creative process when collaborating with clients?
"We love meeting with our clients to better understand them and from there we make sure that we ask the right questions and identify with them what they need. We exchange ideas with the clients as our creative process, with the goal of making the best idea possible for their brand.
"In essence, we do it in three simple steps: preparation, collaboration, execution with emphasis on collaboration, hence we exist because we build stories together—sprinkled with that Mayad magic, not only with our clients but through the people that makes this company excellent."
What would you say is your niche market?
"We have a broad set of clienteles, but from recent years, we have worked with different lifestyle brands—from local and international industry retail leaders such as Pandora, Dior, to food and beverage giants like Starbucks, internationally renowned hotels like Conrad and Shangri-La, and homegrown leaders of their own respective industries, such as Francis Libiran, Bea Valdez and retail/lifestyle trendsetters, Sunnies Studios."
How does your brand stand out from the rest?
"The brand’s creative structure is that we nurture the people who work for the company, the same way that we nurture the brands that we collaborate with—and we believe that this sets us apart in transforming the brands in preparation for their next chapter."
Anything else you want prospective clients to know about you?
"We've fortunately established Mayad Studios as part of Mayad Creatives in the past 13 years and have known ourselves deeply during those said years; we look forward to sharing with you what's in store for us in the next decade."
