While it brings us great pride to see our queens dominate the leaderboard for the most number of Miss Universe crowns, the competition itself holds a certain allure over us. Haven't we all, at some point, pretended to sashay down the catwalk, answer nerve-racking questions, and ultimately, be crowned the winner?
Celeste Cortesi is set to live out that dream for us. Flying to New Orleans to compete next year, the 24-year-old stunner has been busy getting ready to bring home our fifth crown. We joined in on her preps with a light game of Ask Me Anything. Testing her Q&A prowess, she bravely faced netizens' queries about fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. Not only did we get to see her grace—and wit—under pressure, we got to know the Pinay behind the crown a whole lot better, too!

Starting with the basics, we found out her favorite scent, style icon, and go-to outfit. While she can totally rock a swimsuit and an evening gown, you'd be surprised to learn that she actually loves casual comfy 'fits! In fact, she came to the shoot dressed in sweats and a chic oversized leather jacket.
It doesn't come as a surprise then that her advice to aspiring beauty queens was to "be yourself." As someone who breaks stereotypes by flaunting her ink, bravely pursuing change, and authentically speaking her truth, she epitomizes this advice through and through. She's not one for lip service, and that makes her answers all the more stellar.
