You don’t have to be a new mom to be thrilled by the amazing interiors of a nursery. Unlike an adult’s bedroom, it requires a well thought-out plan that balances safety, practicality, and style, so seeing one that’s aesthetic and feasible for a baby and their caretaker is definitely a big wow-worthy feat!
Of course, it’s not easy choosing the right cribs, mats, and other furniture for a child’s room. Thankfully, we have our local celebrity role models to watch and read about as they embark on their journey through motherhood. In the videos they post, not only do they share about the shops they get their decor from, but they also tell relatable stories that many new moms will resonate with.
Here are some of the prettiest baby rooms we spotted from seven local personalities this past year:
1. Solenn Heussaff
The #BabyBolz Room is a great take on the non-traditional blue-or-pink theme. Its walls are painted a calming sage green color (Solenn’s current favorite), and feature artisan pieces that contribute to a relaxing, tropical vibe in each of the pad’s corners. Rattan shelves and wooden blinds can also be seen around baby Thylane’s cozy space that make for a soothing ambiance, along with, in Solenn’s own words, “proud Pinoy touches.”
2. Kryz Uy
Slater Young and Kryz Uy’s contemporary home, the Sky Pod, is an architectural masterpiece, so it’s no surprise their newly-built nursery became quite an artistic addition to their modern mansion. It’s the perfect collision of aesthetics and practicality, since it gives enough room for play dates, chill naps, and all the other messy baby activities first-time parents will have to work through.
The ambiance is cool and neutral all thanks to the room’s white, gray, and blue color scheme. To maintain this tidy minimalist theme, the family stored all of baby Scottie’s other colored items in a box under his chairs. They made use of a shelf to store more toys and place decor on, situated right by a dreamy whale mural hand painted by Sheryl Young, Kryz’s sister-in-law!
3. Sofia Andres
Mr. and Mrs. B of Moss Design House definitely proved that interior design takes a lot of passion and determination. In only a span of three days, the couple was able to work their magic and transform a bare room into a dreamy blush nursery for Sofia Andres and Daniel Miranda’s baby Zoe.
Attention to detail played an important role throughout the designers’ home-fluffing process. They added the cutest canopy and chandelier for a lovely chic look, and applied a custom wallpaper that featured the prettiest watercolor-like art! To emphasize the room’s height, the designers also added fancy floor-to-ceiling curtains. You can spot in the full video a fabulous wall moulding and a valance board, too.
4. Liz Uy
Together with her cousin and interior decorator, Elle Uy, Liz Uy was able to transform her home’s old storage area into a modern boho nursery for baby number two. Surely, we (including Elle and Liz) could agree that the best thing about this place is the cartoon alpaca wallpaper. It definitely did the job of adding more cuteness and personality around baby Matias’ nursery! But of course, not to be left out are the layered rugs and the quirky chandelier that tie in the entire room’s playful beige aesthetic together.
One thing we can learn from Elle and Liz is that you don’t need to get rid of your own stuff to make space for a nursery! Did you know? Inside the custom-made wicker baskets and the woven closet panes inside Matias’ bedroom are the 39-year-old It girl’s shoes. Talk about being functional for both baby and mommy!
5. Camille Co
For their first child Sienna Elea, Camille Co and her Finnish husband, Joni Koro, turned one of the spaces in their rented home into an adorable nursery. Because of the relaxing ambiance and spacious area, it can also be even considered as a chill guest lodging! Overall, the territory gives a daintier spin on the classic Scandinavian minimalist theme.
Custom made storage boxes once again make an appearance and are praised for their practicality. Cream and light pink accents can be seen around the room for a more feminine touch. They also have the cutest arch wall decal that accentuated their off-white wall!
6. Sam Pinto
When you stay in a condo, you need to be smart with how you use your floor space. Thankfully, Sam Pinto found the best way to maximize their pad’s size even with the new baby invasion! Instead of building a separate room, Sam and Anthony Semerad set up playing, sleeping, and changing nooks for their first child all around their home. They tied in a play area in their living room by adding toys and a baby gym. Their bedroom holds the diaper table and sleeping fort of their new-born Mia Aya. The aesthetics follow the overall theme of their home: a clean, white, and wooden tropical dream with plenty of leafy accents!
7. Zeinab Harake
Also with the help of Elle Uy, this 22-year-old YouTuber was able to achieve this charming princess-themed nursery for Baby Bia! Yup, Zeinab perfectly aligned the decor with her maternity shoot from early this year. The room also has hints of gold that make the place look and feel more elegant. From the floor lamp, hanging artworks, and baby mobile, this room definitely looks as dreamy as a fairy tale!
