One of the pinnacle moments many look forward to in life is walking across the stage on graduation day and bowing before a crowd of proud smiles. As they say, the tassel is worth the hassle, and nothing compares to the feeling of finally getting to say you're a degree-holder. In fact, it's a feeling a number of our favorite celebrities aspire to experience themselves.
Even with their buzzing careers on screen, some stars have chosen to hit the books once again, in hopes of eventually getting their hands on a well-deserved diploma. Ahead, we've listed down seven Filipina celebs who prove that it's never too late to get that degree.
LOOK: 7 Filipina celebrities who went back to school
1. Jodi Sta. Maria
It's uncanny how Jodi Sta. Maria now plays Dr. Jill Ilustre on The Broken Marriage Vow, since, in real life, she actually holds a degree related to the medical field. Just last June, she became a Psychology graduate from the Southville International School and Colleges.
At 39, Jodi finished her studies with a Dean's Merit honor, all while fully attending to her duties as an actress, and as a mom. "I share this milestone with everyone who has supported me through the years—my teachers, my family, my management team, my friends. Thank you for letting me reach my stars," she writes in a celebratory post on Instagram.

2. Dimples Romana
Dimples Romana is also not going to let her working mom status hinder her from chasing after her dream. She's currently enrolled at the New York University's School of Professional Studies, where she's taking up an online certificate course in Marketing and Public Relations in Social Media.
Despite her pre-occupied schedule as an actress and entrepreneur (and not to mention, as a soon-to-be mother of three), the 37-year-old si dedicated to continue her education. It looks like everything's going well so far, with Dimples being able to show off straight As from her classes.

3. Katrina Dimaranan
After bringing home the Miss Universe Philippines-Tourism title last year, Katrina Dimaranan traded her gowns for scrubs as she took on nursing school. While entering the medical field wasn't necesarilly her life's dream, the beauty queen told Preview that she saw it as a way for her to "instill confidence and uplift others." Currently, the 28-year-old is deep in the books, and she's determined to one day walk—or should we say, strut—the hospital halls as a registered nurse.

4. Elisse Joson
Elisse Joson's résumé has gotten quite beefy over the past couple of months. On top of being an actress, she became an entrepreneur after launching her own jewelry brand, and, more significantly, also became a mom after revealing her pride and joy, little Felize. Even with these new responsibilities, Elisse still took on another role: being a student.
Sharing her online school set-up on Instagram, the 26-year-old admitted to how difficult it was to catch up with her studies given her busy lifestyle. This is why she's particularly thankful for the patience of her professors. "Konti-konti pero matatapos din [praying hands emoji]," she captioned.

5. Maymay Entrata
Elisse's Pinoy Big Brother batchmate, Maymay Entrata, is also gunning for her diploma. The Amakabogera singer is currently in Canada, where she's fulfilling her longtime dream of finishing school. In a press conference organized by Megan Beauty, of which Maymay is their newest endorser, the 24-year-old shared that she's "happy" to be studying in another country despite the pandemic.

6. Sunshine Cruz
Sunshine Cruz is an inspiration to her three kids—Angelina, Sam, and Chesca—in more ways than one. Alongside being a single mom with an active show biz career, she attained a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the Arellano University last 2017. She stated that she yearns to become a licensed psychiatrist by the time she's 50, and is more than open to the idea of maybe even teaching a course.

7. Ruffa Gutierrez
Similarly, neither mothernood or a bustling career could stop Ruffa Gutierrez from receiving a diploma. She's previously opened up about how she's currently a Mass Communications student at the Philippine Women's University.
The 47-year-old notably began in show biz when she was only a teenager, and since then, she thought that she "really didn't have to study anymore." With a little push from a special someone, Ruffa got back in the classroom and is now set to march in July of this year.
