Catriona Gray is undeniably confidently beautiful. Whether she's on or off stage, the beauty queen-singer certainly has a commanding presence. So when she shared some confidence-boosting tips at the launch of Cetaphil's Healthy Bright Radiance line, we were all ears!
Catriona Gray Shares Her Best Tips For Feeling More Confident:
First things first: Get enough sleep.
Catriona's first tip is so simple but often overlooked. "Getting rest just allows me to collect my thoughts and have that energy for the day," she said. Naturally, when you're well-rested, you're more focused and energized, and you feel good about yourself.
Don't take your skincare for granted.
Of course, having healthy skin can also give you a confidence boost. "Usually, our go-to is a great concealer or great lighting, but having a great canvas to work with in the first place... makes your beauty or makeup routine much more effortless," Catriona shared, but she also pointed out that having flareups and other skincare issues is "completely normal," too.

Wear clothes that make you feel comfortable.
One of the ways you can avoid feeling "self-conscious" is by wearing clothes that make you feel comfortable. Citing an example, Catriona revealed, "I'm not a huge fan of cropped tops." While it's trendy right now, the beauty queen admitted that she doesn't feel at ease whenever she wears it, adding that she would constantly fix her top every now and then.
"Wear whatever makes you feel beautiful, confident, and comfortable," she said. Additionally, Catriona gave one useful fashion tip: "Make sure that your clothes are freshly steamed or ironed because it automatically makes you look so put together."
To look good in photos, study your angles!
"I get asked all the time, 'Cat, how do you pose for the camera?'" she shared. But according to the Miss Universe 2018 titleholder, it simply requires practice: "You can do that by just standing in front of the mirror and learning as you go along."

Be present.
"Confidence sounds a bit unachievable for some people," she explained. "I know we've all been there, we look up to someone and say, 'they're just born confident, they're born looking like that, they just have it, it's not something that I could ever have.' But I don't believe in that."
"I believe that confidence is something that you grow and develop. And the more you are able to exercise that outside your comfort zone, the more that it's able to strengthen, or through different situations that you are in," she shared.
Instead of thinking about how you can "look" confident, "just be present," the beauty queen advised. "It will allow you to really connect with the person you're with or the people you're talking to."
