An international-school education can come with a pretty substantial price tag, and British School Manila (BSM) has been part of Manila’s private education scene for 50 years. The oldest and only non-profit school in Manila offering a British education, BSM counts familiar names like Atasha Muhlach and Dominique Cojuangco among its alumni.

For the 2026–2027 school year, fees vary depending on where a student is in their education. Here’s how the numbers break down.

What Is the British School Manila?

Set in Bonifacio Global City, British School Manila has been part of the Philippine international-school scene since 1976. The school started with just 36 students at the former Union Church before moving to Merville, Parañaque, and eventually to its current BGC campus in 2002.

These days, BSM caters to students from Nursery through Year 13, covering ages three to 18. It follows an adapted British curriculum, with students in Years 12 and 13 having the option to take the International Baccalaureate Diploma. More than 950 students from over 50 nationalities currently make up its community.

How Much It Costs:

The Tuition at British School Manila

BSM’s tuition isn’t quoted in a single currency, as every year level has a GBP component and a Philippine peso component, and both are payable.

The annual tuition works out to:

  • Nursery: £4,170 (approx. P351,948) + P444,180 = about P796,128

  • Reception–Year 6: £6,930 (approx. P584,892) + P738,510 = about P1.32 million

  • Year 7–9: £7,785 (approx. P657,054) + P830,730 = about P1.49 million

  • Year 10–11: £8,190 (approx. P691,236) + P873,180 = about P1.56 million

  • Year 12–13: £9,165 (approx. P773,526) + P977,790 = about P1.75 million

The tuition is paid three times a year, in advance. At Years 12 and 13, for example, that puts each term at roughly P583,000 based on the current exchange rate as of writing.

The Additional Fees

The tuition figures give you the largest number, but there’s more to the school-year budget.

New students start with an application fee of P30,000 and an entrance fee of P340,000. There's also a P150,000 enrolment/security deposit, which can be refunded upon graduation or withdrawal with the required notice, subject to any outstanding balance.

From there, BSM adds a P5,200 administrative fee covering things such as the yearbook, student photos, ID, and class kitty fund. The school also charges a Capital Development Fee of roughly P170,000 a year, depending on year level.

Technology comes into play in Year 3 and Year 7, when students receive school-managed devices. The one-time device fees are P43,000 for Year 3 and P105,000 for Year 7, followed by annual technology management fees. These cover the ongoing management, insurance, technical support, and required software for the devices.

Learning support is another variable. Basic support is included in tuition, but students requiring additional levels of assistance can incur separate fees ranging from P28,710 to P118,565 per term, depending on the level of support required. External examination fees are also billed separately at cost.

So, while P796,128 to P1.75 million gives a useful snapshot of BSM’s tuition for SY 2026–2027, the actual school-year expense depends on where a student falls within the year levels and which additional fees apply.
