It's tradition for bridesmaids to wear a gown that was chosen by the bride. Regardless if it's a frilly frock rendered in a color they'd probably never don again in this lifetime, such grievances don't matter when it's your BFF's big day. For Che Magtibay-Mercado, however, the old-fashioned gown rule had run its course. Instead, she had her entourage wear elegant white jumpsuits to complement her voluminous Francis Libiran wedding dress for her special day with now-husband Row Mercado.

In an interview with Preview, Che revealed how she took into account her bridesmaids' comfort, as well as getting their money's worth by opting for outfits they could re-wear in the future. "Bridesmaids usually wear gowns/dresses and I wanted my girls to wear something different so I came up with the idea of them wearing jumpsuits. Aside from [jumpsuits being] very comfy, they can still use those even after the wedding," Che explains.

Subsequently, her girls had free rein over the look of their jumpsuits, as custom made by designer Babylyn Inocencio. She did throw in her bride card for one simple request, though: "They were free to choose whatever neckline style/cut they want as long as it had ruffles!" The result? A clean-cut, positively chic modern-day bride tribe that we'd definitely emulate in the future.
