All brides want their wedding to go as smoothly as possible. It's why wedding coordinators and maids-of-honor exist, because it's near impossible to mount such a big event alone. However, even with the best team by your side, Murphy's law can strike. As the quote goes, anything that can go wrong on your big day, will—and one Dubai-based experienced this firsthand.
While most wedding mishaps occur before and after the ceremony, content creator Becky Jefferies (@jetsetbecks) was not as lucky. In fact, it was such a major oops that she had to ask the officiant to pause the wedding! She recounted the entire thing on TikTok, and we swear, you'd totally understand why she did it!
In the TikTok, Becky was shown looking anxious midway into the ceremony. And right when the officiant asked she and her beau to say their vows, she politely asked him to "pause for a moment." The action surprised the crowd—Becky's then husband-to-be included.
Calmly speaking into the microphone, the bride said, "I just realized when I got up to the end of the aisle that I'm mising half of my dress. Maybe I could put it on now?" Immediately, the crowd erupted into laughter and her fiancé broke into the biggest smile.
Turns out, Becky's wedding gown included a tulle skirt attachment, which she forgot to put on. Moments after her announcement, someone came rushing down the aisle to bring Becky her skirt. She got dressed right then and there!
What's even funnier is that according to Becky, she had actually a vision of the mishap just days before. "I'm not kidding, two nights ago I had a dream that I did this, that I walked on the aisle without it [the skirt]," he told the audience. But then again, her dress was already stunning on its own—we wouldn't have noticed something was missing either!
In case you were wondering what the full gown looks like, here's an adorable still featuring Becky's husband, TV host Sherif Fayed.
Her skirt blooper might've mildly disrupted the ceremony, but it definitely made Becky's wedding that much more memorable. Hats off to her for keeping her cool, too.
