Officially opening last February 28, the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Nakameguro, Japan is now dubbed as the biggest Starbucks in the world.
With four floors and a whopping 32,000 sq. ft., it has officially bested Shanghai's 30,000 sq.ft. roastery. If you didn't know yet, special Starbucks roastery branches are ones that roast their own beans in-house and serve special snacks and drinks unique to their location. The Nakameguro branch alone has over 100 items to choose from, 60 of which are exclusive to Japan.
A peek inside the imposing cafe will grant you an impressive view of a tube-like structure made out of origamis hanging at the center of the shop in true Japanese culture. As for its four floors? Expect to get a taste of the special pastries on the first floor, lounge at the tea bar on the second, and drink up on a selection of wine, whiskey, and cocktail on the third. Meanwhile, the top of the Starbucks is called the AMU inspiration lounge, a special space that hosts trainings for baristas.
