Memes about moving abroad came up plenty of times this year with so much uncertainty around. Apparently, it didn't stop at memes though. Google found that there was a 29 percent increase in anything related to migration. And, a new report by financial startup Remitly has found which countries have become the most popular.

After analyzing Google search data for over 100 countries, Remitly narrowed it all down to the 10 most searched locations. Canada landed at the top spot with 30 countries wanting to move there, while Japan and Spain trailed at the second and third spot with 13 and 12 interested countries, respectively.
