Dra. Vicki Belo, along with her husband Dr. Hayden Kho and their daughter Scarlet Snow, rang in the new year with a family trip to Africa—and the photos are breathtaking to say the least.

To kick off their marathon of safari-themed Instagram posts, the Belos shared a video of Scarlet standing amongst the wildlife of Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. "Hello everyone, I’m in Africa and can you see what’s behind me? They are all giraffes, and because it’s New Year, all the giraffes gathered together," introduced the the five-year-old.
Celebrating 15 years as a couple, celeb doctors Vicki and Hayden also spent their vacay enjoying quality time together while lounging outdoors. “As they say, be with someone who is both home and an adventure all at once. Grateful for you every day, @dochayden,” read Dr. Vicki’s IG caption.
Of course, what’s a family outing without the picture perfect family photo? Below, husband and wife pose for a sunlit snapshot while Scarlet sleeps soundly beside them.
According to a previous Instagram story by Dr. Vicki, it seems their little one still hadn’t adjusted to the change in timezones when the photo was taken. “Since it’s 11:30 p.m. in Manila @scarletsnowbelo fell asleep early. Alex, our wonderful guide, carries her,” she wrote.

Apart from family time, Hayden and Vicki also took this rare opportunity to put their photography skills to work.
Even Scarlet caught the shutter bug and gamely snapped some pics of her own. “Did you see Daddy @dochayden's post? I beat him because he couldn't find male lions but I found two of them. Meet Fang and Collie,” read her caption along with a photograph of her two stuffed lions.
Ushering in 2021, the trio welcomed the new year with Shakira’s global pop hit, Waka Waka. Watch them cheerfully dance to the song below.
To make their trip even more memorable, while exploring Kenya, the family ended up “adopting” a baby rhinoceros in a sanctuary in Lewa Wildlife Conservancy! Scarlet even got to name the baby rhino “Plasty the Belo Rhino.” Too cute!
“He needs our love and protection because poachers killed his parents to get their horns. So, Daddy and Mommy agreed that our family will adopt him,” explained Scarlet’s caption. “The money will make sure he has veterinarians and rhino rangers from @lewa_wildlife who will make sure Plasty is safe and healthy.”
