Among the fast-rising buildings that continue to add to The Fort’s expanding skyline, one that we’re most excited about, is the newly opened addition to the Shangri-La Group—the Shangri-La at the Fort.
Located at the corner of 30th and 5th, the 1.5-hectare prime property was designed by Handel Architects LLPand GF & Partners Architects Co. The lifestyle complex features 98 exclusive residential units, 576 contemporary and spacious guestrooms and suites, as well as a two-level retail arcade with 36 shops and a sports complex, to name a few.
While we’ve yet to indulge in the amenities that are housed in this 62-story hotel and residential unit complex, one thing that certainly caught our attention were the art installations created by sisters Bea and Marga Valdes, which was worked into the interiors by Manny Samson & Associates.
One of the first key pieces that greets you upon entering the hotel would be the installation that hangs right behind the reception desk. Sculpted with what seems to be sequined fabric adorned with flowers in shades of grey, the piece pretty much sums up what the new lifestyle complex is all about-- a place where modern living and fashion come together under one roof.
So, shall we #BookIt?
