We all saw how stunning Kathryn Bernardo's Christmas tree turned out after event stylist Gideon Hermosa worked his magic. So you better believe we were beyond excited to find out that Bea Alonzo also asked him for help in building a sustainable but classy Christmas tree this year.
In this episode of Bea Does, the actress shares that she wants a traditional, American tree—something you'd see at Rockefeller Center in New York.
1. Bea wants her Christmas decor to be like heirlooms.
While holding clear, Christmas balls, she tells Gideon that she wants to pass 'em down to her children, and that's why she takes such good care of them. In addition, Gideon also brought red Christmas balls with different textures to add a pop of color to the tree.
2. They added twigs to the tree to make it look more natural.
We all know trees aren't perfectly shaped, so to make hers look more real, they placed twigs in random spots for a more natural look. They also placed the tree in a "basket" to make it look like it's buried.
3. The tree has both twinkling and still Christmas lights.
To give it that "3D" effect. Gideon's tip is, if your tree is green, make sure the wires of your lights are dark so it isn't as visible.
4. Our favorite detail: the velvet flowers.
Gideon places velvet magnolias in Bea's tree, and honestly, it's such a gorgeous detail!
5. We're so into this unique topper.
Instead of the usual star or angel topper, Gideon used ribbons in two colors: gold and red. If you use ribbons on your trees, you can either place them at the top or bottom.
