Barbie Imperial is spending her upcoming birthday in Neverland, and she looks every bit a whimsical fairy in full bloom. In celebration of her 23rd year, the actress staged a fantastical photoshoot that mirrors her deepest fantasies, as shot by celebrity photographer Shaira Luna.
Ensconced in a blooming forest straight out of a Disney fairy tale, the birthday girl channeled her inner Tinkerbell in a frothy chartreuse tulle dress from LightShineWhite. In contrast to her chosen theme though, more than just a dreamer, Barbie reiterates that she’s also a go-getter set on turning her visions into reality—a conviction she hopes to uphold as she turns another year older and wiser.
“Fantasy offers possibilities and sparks the imagination. At a young age, I was fueled by tales of the power of dreams,” Barbie wrote in an Instagram post. Here, she’s the queen of her realm while decked in a Mara Chua-designed crystal-laden, blush dress with delicate 3D floral appliqués.
She continues, “It coalesced with the beautiful reality inculcated in me - that dreams will remain dreams if you don’t work hard for them. I am a dreamer, but I am also a doer. In my fairytale fantasies and magical dreams, I wear a whimsical ensemble that sparkles with hope. I paint a world where visions turn into reality and imagination becomes life. Sending my love to all the people who helped me flourish.”
Showcasing a different side of her, the actress sheds her wings in another layout, as she trades them for a fiercer look that pays homage to her fiery personality as a Leo. For this one, Barbie appears sunlit in her element, while rocking a metallic cut out dress, followed by another shot featuring a crop top and draped maxi skirt ensemble.

A holistic amplification, it presents Barbie epitomizing Leo - a fashionable, classy individual who knows herself,” explained shoot planner La Belle Fete. “Behind the innocent facade is a fearless woman who has a firm grip on her identity. She certainly doesn't hold back in lavishing in her pivotal moments - the ups and the downs, because they molded her into who she is now. And that is the power she has within her.”
Barbie gave her iconic, fictional namesake a run for her money with this all pink motif. Dressed as a real life Barbie doll, she transitions from the stuff of childhood fairy tales to an "icon of beauty, a symbol of glamour, and a role model."
