It girls have graced society since time immemorial, but we have to say, there's no one quite like our February 2023 cover star Atasha Muhlach. Born to showbiz royalty parents, she has remained low-key for most of her life save for the occasional TV appearances, and of course, the prestigious Le Bal high society debut.
A graceful medley of juxtapositions, the 21-year-old balances pursuing all her passions with being a regular university student and budding Gen Z icon. "She has that fresh, mysterious, almost elusive it-girl aura that draws everybody in," Preview Editor-in-Chief Marj Ramos-Clemente encapsulates beautifully. With her exuberant dynamism, it's only fitting that her Preview debut mirrors the zesty energy that she imbues.

"We decided to make the theme very active, very sports-themed, something that's in line with her personality," Art Director Bacs Arcebal says of the shoot that also featured players from the rugby team Philippine Volcanoes. Fun fact: Atasha has actually played rugby with them before!
"For Atasha's outfits, we partnered with Gucci and had runway and ready-to-wear pieces flown in just for her," Managing Editor Steph Sison-Cruz explains the fashion direction.
Makeup artist Robbie Pinera, Atasha's go-to MUA, injected playfulness and color to Atasha's glam, and he explains to Preview that they hardly do that kind of execution so he was excited to try it on his young muse. Together with hairstylist Brent Sales, they brough to life a beauty look that was a first for the it girl.
Lensed by Shaira Luna at the Philsports Complex, Atasha's spirit was captured on film. Shoot producer and cover story writer Kat Cabral said it best: "It's a perfect fusion of who we see her as."
