Anne Curtis and Erwan Heussaff have been to many adventures, but their recent trip to South America is definitely one of our faves! The it couple, who never fails to make us green with envy every time they visit a new destination, had us double-tapping nonstop on each of their Instagram posts.
Planning on traveling to South America? Below, take cues from these love birds on how to map out your itinerary.
Arrival in Chile, South America
First order of business: to visit the home of the world renown poet, Pablo Neruda, who also happens to be Anne's all-time fave.
The Atacama Desert was the couple’s next point of destination. Anne even claimed on IG that it’s her “Christmas gift” to herself. And after seeing its breathtaking views, we can totally understand why she chose this place.
The Moon Valley
Of course, a couple photo is in order.
So beautiful!
Anne kept it basic wearing a fitted taupe camisole and a shirt wrapped around her waist, paired white denim shorts, brown leather belt, black sneakers and a fedora hat.
The perfect OOTD backdrop
The next morning, the couple woke up early to visit El Tatio, which is a geyser field located within the Andes Mountains of northern Chile.
“Worth the early wake-up call.” –Anne
Temperature dropped to 0°C, but if one's surrounded with a view like this, who's got time to complain?
And then there was sunshine.
“Visited the quaint town of Machuca on our way back from the Geysers. Stopped by the gorgeous little church up on the hill to pray and thank him for this amazing world of beauty He has given us.” –Anne
Pink flamingoes!!!
Jump shots are a must.
The sweethearts also shared an intimate lunch with the amazing view of Miscanti Lake.
Taking OOTDs is more fun in Chile!
Fine wine in the middle of the desert? Why not!
“Laguna Miñiques is one of the two high plateau lakes in the Reserva Nacional Los Flamencos. They were formed when the eruption of Miñiques Volcano blocked the water’s path and caused it to dam up due to geomorphologic changes in the area.” –Anne
Such an awesome view, indeed.
To cap off their Atacama Desert adventure, the two admired the beautiful night sky while stargazing. And we thought these things only happen in the movies!
From San Pedro de Atacama, Erwan and Anne went straight to Argentina to witness Solenn Heussaff and Nico Bolzico exchange “I dos.”
But first, they stopped by Buenos Aires for some drinks.
The It girls, Anne, Solenn, Isabelle Daza and Georgina Wilson, are reunited.
Horseback riding at Esperanza in Santa Fe
“Cooked pork and beef Matambre cut for the first time on an Argentinian low heat grill set up. Soooooooo good.” –Erwan
Off to Patagonia!
“Magnifico! It was my first time to canter through mountains and rivers. I had the most amazing view of magnificent snowcapped mountains atop this handsome horse.” –Anne
They also went for a hike near El Chalten, which is the trekking capital of Patagonia.
The hiking crew…
And the chosen few who made it to the top!
If you think that was the end of it, that’s where you’re wrong. The very next morning, another adventure began!
Hike number two started at 8am.
After the 20-kilometer trek, here’s the breathtaking view that was waiting for them at Laguna Torre, El Chalten.
And this!
Walking on ice at the Perito Moreno Glacier
“Walking on water. It felt weird. I felt like the ice would break at any moment.” –Anne
#SquadGoals!
And as always, #CoupleGoals.
Now if this epic adventure wasn’t enough make you write down South America in your travel bucket list, then we don’t know what will.
