Most fans dream of meeting their heroes one day, but only a handful can call themselves blessed. One fan with a fortunate streak happens to be the Gen Z star Andrea Brillantes, who has had her fair share of adorable interactions with renowned international celebs.
From bumping into Hunter Schafer at a hotel hallway to BLACKPINK reading her “promposal,” here’s a list of times when Blythe was the luckiest fangirl!
1. BLACKPINK
During BLACKPINK’s concert held in the Philippine Arena in March 2022, Andrea made headlines after she was noticed by none other than the members of the K-pop girl group! Days before the Star Magical Prom, the self-professed Blink went for a grand gesture for her “promposal” to former boyfriend Ricci Rivero.
Among the crowd of fellow Blinks, Andrea was among the lucky ones that were noticed by the members, who read her sign aloud.
Months later, another interaction between them came about when Rosé noticed Blythe’s comments during her Instagram Live, where the BLACKPINK member confirmed that she remembered their adorable moment. However, the actress updated the K-pop idol about the current state of her former relationship, causing Rosé to quip, “No! I'll pretend I didn't see that!”
2. Sabrina Carpenter
In July, Andrea made her way to the concert of Sabrina Carpenter, where she, too, was noticed by the main act! During the performance at New Frontier Theater, the American singer had lent the microphone to Blythe, who had briefly talked about her career and past relationship, and how she related to Sabrina’s music.
On Twitter (now X), the Filipina actress gushed about the sweet encounter. “Oh my God, the Sabrina Carpenter just noticed me, picked me, looked at me, talked to me, fist-bumped me, held the mic for me,” she wrote. “I don’t know what to say… I love you so much.. you’re amazing [emoji]”
In another tweet, Andrea also called Sabrina “mesmerizing” and “pretty,” and thanked the supportive crowd.
3. Halle Bailey
Making her fashion week debut alongside Dr. Vicki Belo in Milan, Andrea got to rub elbows with some of the fashion and entertainment industry’s much-talked about stars. One highlight for Blythe is The Little Mermaid actress and Chloe x Halle singer Halle Bailey, who she even shared a selfie with during the Dolce and Gabbana showcase.
“I was so kilig to have a picture taken with the Little Mermaid Halle!!” Andrea wrote on Instagram. “Because it has always been my dream to become a mermaid, haha! She was incredibly kind! It was a truly wonderful experience to meet her.”
4. Hunter Schafer
In Milan, Andrea had a lucky (and blessed!) encounter with American model and Euphoria actress Hunter Schafer. After some reluctance about going up to her and being declined by security, the Filipina actress was able to snap a photo alongside the Hollywood star–with a little help from Dr. Vicki Belo’s prayers!
Three hours later, the two chanced upon each other in a hallway while Andrea was filming a video. After Andrea said that they had met earlier, Hunter hugged her and said, “You look beautiful!” Aww!
5. Emma Chamberlain
Sitting among the Gucci Spring/Summer 2023 crowd, Andrea had an adorable photo op with the American social media personality Emma Chamberlain.
Bonus: Kylie Jenner, NewJeans’ Hanni, ENHYPEN
While they weren’t shared interactions per se, these honorable mentions still count in Andrea’s hall of fame! During Milan Fashion Week, the Filipina actress also spotted Kylie Jenner, her long-time favorite and her inspiration for her beauty brand Lucky Beauty.
During the Gucci show, Andrea walked behind NewJeans member Hanni, who the actress had snapped a photo of.
Andrea’s Get Ready with Me video on TikTok also revealed that she had chanced upon the members of K-pop group ENHYPEN inside an elevator.
