A netizen called Andi Eigenmann's photo "fake," saying the picture that shows her trim post-baby bod had been edited.
The 29-year-old posted a photo on Instagram last May 2 showing her posing from a side angle, wearing leggings and a black bandeau. Her tummy was noticeably slim, and it has been nine months since she gave birth to her baby with partner Philmar Alipayo.
One netizen went against the praise that was coming in via the comments, saying it was obvious that Andi's waistline and butt were edited in the photo because these were not proportioned to her arms.
The netizen commented (published as is): "It looks so fake to some degree sry [sic.] Andie [peace emoji]
"Notice the wood near her butt and too slim waistline which makes her arm bigger."
Andi was not shaken and answered this criticism with a simple "thanks."
SISTERS TO THE RESCUE
Her elder half sister Max Eigenmann came to her defense. She seemed amazed that the netizen could not believe that Andi's trim figure was real. Max responded to Andi saying, "I didn't realize strong arms matched with a toned body and firm butt was considered fake na pala." She added, "Good job, baby.. you look amazing!" To which, Andi replied, "thanks ats!!!"
Andi's younger half-sister Stevie Eigenmann also came to her defense. Stevie said that the Siargao-based actress is not tech-savvy enough to think of editing her photo. Her exact words addressed to the naysayer were, "sry [sic.] too. she aint techy enough to understand what ur saying but das ok ty for ur tym." Stevie even referred to herself as Andi's "personal editor."
Andi herself agreed to Stevie's statement that she in't text savvy. She replied to her sister saying, "want to say na i just used my iphone for this but i got too excited, so thank you nalang!" [sic.]
Other netizens said that Andi possibly just held her breath to also hold her stomach in for the photo. Others said the actress probably lost weight due to her regular workout routine and healthy eating habits.
Some took to the comments to praise Andi for losing her post-partum weight, saying she's their "body goal" and it's as though she had not just given birth.
Sometimes, women can be hard on their fellow women, making a big issue out of others' weight and body shape. It's great when women are able to support one another.
