Who would have thought that the biggest Asian-American Hollywood reunion would take place in a Disney show? Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Yuan, James Hong—American Born Chinese is the star-studded Everything Everyone All At Once sequel that we didn’t know we needed.
American Born Chinese, which is now streaming on Disney+, is an action comedy TV series that follows two teenagers whose lives are interrupted by mythical Chinese gods. The show feels like a homage to Chinese-American culture, Asian representation in Hollywood, and the Asian-American experience.
