Alma Concepcion is one of the most stunning beauty queens from her generation, even bagging the title of Binibining Pilipinas International 1994 back in her heyday. Now a 46-year-old mom, she's still a thing of beauty!
But sadly, the internet tends to be unnecessarily cruel and disrespectful, swarmed with trolls who are always looking for their next victims. Alma isn't one to back down though, slamming a rude basher who called her "gurami."
"Gurami" or "gurang" is a Filipino slang for "old."
"Mas gusto ko na maging 'gurami' kesa maging bata na wala naman respeto sa kapwa," Alma captioned her post on Facebook, sharing a screencap of the online exchange she had with the netizen.
In the said screenshot, it can be seen how the beauty queen-turned-actress responded to the basher with grace, noting that there is no shame in aging because it's "a privilege denied to many."
In an additional screenshot that she shared as a comment to her FB post, it shows that the same netizen made another similar disrespectful remark. "Anu na naman ang drama ng matandang to," he said. To which, Alma had a rightfully snarky response: "It's not the age. It's how you look. Ikaw ano itsura mo?"
Alma's post has since been flooded with comments of love and support from friends and followers. "Not worth your time," one user said. And true enough, a woman—regardless of her age—doesn't need any kind of validation from these internet trolls!
Last year, actress Geneva Cruz also had the best clapback in response to a netizen who called her "matanda na."
You look amazing, Alma!
