Heart Evangelista’s trip to the United States has been nothing short of eventful. The Filipina socialite has managed to do everything, from visiting famous landmarks and art galleries, to taking weeks worth of Instagram-worthy OOTDs and other content, to striking up a familiarity with Vogue Editors. Speaking of the latter, if Heart’s IG feed is any indication, it seems she also spent her stay in the U.S. broadening her network, and maybe even landing a gig for a Netflix reality TV show. We're still eagerly waiting for official confirmation on the latter, of course.
Below, we round up all the notable people Heart Evangelista met during her visit to the United States.
1. Kane Lim and Kelly Mi Li of "Bling Empire"
Rumors of Heart possibly joining Netflix’s reality show Bling Empire first circulated after she was spotted hanging out with cast members Kane Lim and Kelly Mi Li in LA. Heart even posted a few snaps with the two on her IG feed! From the looks of it, it seems she even shared a “golden halo-halo” with the rest of the cast during her visit.
2. Brandon Boyd
Who could forget Heart’s viral video with Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd? The two met in Los Angeles for a photoshoot, and let’s just say the pictorial itself—particularly when Brandon gave Heart a piggyback ride—served as good promo for their project together, albeit totally unplanned.
Heart and Brandon are currently working with four other artists for a project titled Moonlight Arts Collective. The venture will feature "signed, limited edition art from cultural icons who draw, paint, photograph, and ‘moonlight’ as visual artists.”
3. Vogue Editors
Having originally visited New York on business for Vogue, it was only natural for Heart to rub shoulders with the famed magazine’s editors. The actress and entrepreneur strengthened her fashion cred after meeting Vogue.com Editor Chioma Nnadi, who oversees the entirety of the brand’s digital content, and Vogue’s Experience Manager Ian Malone. “Well-spent afternoon with my @voguemagazine family,” Heart captioned her Instagram post to accompany her photos with the two, alongside Filipino designer Mark Bumgarner, and stylist Kat Cruz-Villanueva.
4. Chriselle Lim
While in LA, Heart grabbed the opportunity to finally meet her “internet friend,” Korean-American fashion stylist Chriselle Lim, in the flesh. The two spent the afternoon together by drinking coffee and recreating a TikTok trend.
5. Kevin Kwan
Heart also had brunch with Crazy Rich Asians author Kevin Kwan in California. The two have known each other for years, even before the CRA movie officially dropped in 2018.
Fun fact: Kevin once listed Heart’s hand-painted Hermes bags as a Crazy Rich Asian must-have, during a 2017 interview with Nymag.com. We love a long-lasting friendship!
