October 2020 is jam-packed with exciting new treats for Netflix subscibers, from the Hollywood breakout phenomenon Crazy Rich Asians, to Pinoy-led animated films like Hayop Ka! and Over the Moon, to a slew of fresh K-dramas. Hubie Halloween (October 7)

A hilarious family comedy perfect for this upcoming spooky month, Hubie Halloween centers on Hubie Dubois, a resident of Salem town who thanklessly spends the annual holiday making sure everything goes smoothly for the entire neighborhood.  But when this year’s festivities open to some of the townspeople mysteriously disappearing, it’s up to Hubie to save the day when everyone else refuses to bat an eye.

BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky (October 14)

Join global K-pop girl group Blackpink as they take fans on a journey that documents their record-breaking rise to success.

The Trial of Chicago 7 (October 16)

This legal drama is based on the true to life events that transpired in the United States back in 1969. Netflix's official syopsis reads "What was intended to be a peaceful protest at the 1968 Democratic National Convention turned into a violent clash with police and the National Guard. The organizers of the protest were charged with conspiracy to incite a riot and the trial that followed was one of the most notorious in history. "

The Queen’s Gambit (October 23)

Based on the novel by Walter Tevis, The Queen’s Gambit is a coming-of-age drama that follows the young and orphaned Beth Harmon. Though considered an outcast, she unexpectedly discovers her astonishing talent for chess and sets out to become an impressively skilled and glamorous player determined to conquer the male-dominated field.
