TVN’s Record of Youth is getting more and more interesting! After several episodes of Sa Hye Jun (Park Bo Gum) relentlessly chasing after his dreams, he is finally seeing the fruits of his labor and has even brought home his first-ever acting award. That’s right, our boy is now a certified star! And while the story itself is enough to keep us hooked, it surely doesn’t hurt that there’s an abundance of cameo roles that make the show even more exciting.

For the occasional K-drama watcher, these cameos may have been easily missed. But if you're a true-blue fangirl, then your eagle eyes have caught these special celebrity appearances for sure! Below, we round up all the stars we’ve spotted on the show:
Kim Hye Yoon
As seen on: Episode 1

Kim Hye Yoon, whom you probably remember from Sky Castle and Extraordinary You, was the first celebrity to make a cameo on Record of Youth. She played a character named Lee Bo Ra, a makeup artist who turned out to be the ex-girlfriend of arrogant actor Park Do Ha (Kim Gun Woo). On her special appearance, the actress shared, “I only filmed for a brief moment, but everyone took good care of me, so I was able to film comfortably. I’m so honored to even be a small part of such a great drama, and I think this will remain as a good memory for me.”
Seo Hyun Jin
As seen on: Episodes 7-8

"Can I ask you out?" Seo Hyun Jin is a popular leading lady IRL who needs no introduction—she headlined K-dramas such as Another Miss Oh, Doctor Romantic, Temperature of Love, and The Beauty Inside, just to name a few. So imagine our delight when she played a cameo role on Record of Youth as top actress Lee Hyun Soo and starred in a medical drama with Sa Hye Jun (the one that eventually paved the way for his popularity to soar). She even gave him some heartwarming advice, which motivated Sa Hye Jun to do better in his scenes.
Kang Han Na
As seen on: Episodes 9-10

You weren’t dreaming when you thought Sa Hye Jun’s charming female co-host at the OVN Drama Awards looked familiar. That’s because it was played by Kang Han Na, most known for her roles in Familiar Wife and Designated Survivor: 60 Days. She’s also set to star alongside Bae Suzy and Nam Joo Hyuk in Netflix’s upcoming K-drama Start-Up.
Park Seo Joon
As seen on: Episodes 9-10

Of course, you already know this one—news about Park Seo Joon’s cameo on Record of Youth first broke last September 16, and fans eagerly waited to find out what his role would be! And as it turned out, his much-awaited special appearance as model turned top star Song Min Su was definitely worth the hype. The Hallyu actor filmed several scenes for the drama, but our favorite has got to be when he exchanged a few jokes with Hye Jun onstage while presenting the Best Actor award. Hye Jun’s manager, Lee Min Jae, had a funny yet relatable fangirl moment with him too, and the rest of Hye Jun’s friends even took a group photo with him.
ICYDK, Park Bo Gum also made a special cameo on the finale episode of Park Seo Joon’s drama, Itaewon Class, when it concluded earlier this year.
Lee Sung Kyung
As seen on: Episode 12

Yes, Lee Sung Kyung, as in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo herself! The actress, who also starred in About Time and Doctor Romantic 2, is set to make a special appearance on Record of Youth as Jin Seo-U, Sa Hye Jun’s co-star and on-screen leading lady for his new drama. They even shared an intimate hug while filming!
Hyeri
As seen on: Episode 13

Another cameo that Record of Youth viewers were extremely excited about was Hyeri’s much-awaited special appearance. While fans were especially eager to see the singer-actress reunite with her Reply 1988 co-star Park Bo Gum, it was such a treat to see Hyeri play Lee Hae-ji, the actress who interviewed An Jeong-ha (Park So Dam) as her potential makeup artist. (That said, fans did get the Choi Taek and Sun Deok Sun moment they were wishing for on Hyeri's Instagram account, so we're definitely not complaining! It was still an epic reunion!)
New episodes of Record of Youth can be streamed on Netflix every Monday and Tuesday night at 9:30 p.m.
