Donuts have a special way of putting a smile on our faces just about anytime and any day—and this is especially true when we're talking about the choco butternut. This flavor is a staple in Philippine doughnut shops, thanks to how it gives plain ol' chocolate donuts extra oomph with the addition of nutmeg and/or coconut. If you've been looking to go the vegan or plant-based route, you may think it's one of the treats you'd have to give up as many other versions may contain dairy or other animal products—but that doesn't have to be the case. We recently spotted a vegan version care of Las Piñas-based online seller and "virtual vegan café", Aigoo Café!
Choco Butternut donuts
Aigoo Café's Choco Butternut donuts are available as full-sized ring donuts at P60 apiece, and as bite-sized doughnut holes they dub minis at P135 for a bucket of nine. They sell out fast, so you'll want to keep tabs on their Facebook or Instagram pages to see when they're available! You can send them a message to place your order, and pay via bank deposit (BDO or Unionbank) or GCash. You can then pick it up or book your own courier for delivery.
Be sure to check out their other vegan donuts while you're at it; they've got everything from the #AigooBiscoff (P45) to the Choco Cinnamon (P55) to the Matcha Burger (P55) variants. Their menu varies regularly—do give their social media pages a follow for updates—but you can also expect other vegan eats that include savory meals, protein smoothies, and cakes and cupcakes on their roster.
