Is imitation really the sincerest form of flattery?

Here’s a legit question: How far are you willing to go to achieve your #feedgoals?

We live in the age of Instagram and sometimes we tend to turn to our favorite bloggers for inspiration when we’re running low on ideas on how to creatively take our travel photos. And while being inspired by someone is totally natural, blatantly copying down to the tiniest details is just point-blank creepy. Such is the case when travel bloggers Lauren Bullen (@gypsea_lust) and Jack Morris (@doyoutravel) discovered an Instagram user who’s been literally following them around the world to recreate their posts.

The couple, who have a collective following of more than two million, were dumbfounded when they received an influx of concerned messages coming from their followers. They were informed about an IG user named @diana_alexa, who has apparently been imitating their posts—and by that, we mean she’s been mimicking the exact spot where the photo was taken, clothes and accessories they were wearing, post-processing, poses, and sometimes even the caption itself.

"I understand seeking inspiration from what I do—and I love that, but this truly shocked me,” Lauren wrote in her blog. “At first I thought it was all photoshopped and had to take screen shots to compare the two. They honestly did an incredible job copying our imagery…But stealing someone’s art—that’s never okay!”

Take a look at the side-by-side comparison of their photos below and see for yourself.

To add fuel to the fire, the copycat also occasionally asks her boyfriend to join in so they can replicate the exact same shot. Now if that isn’t 50 shades of cray, we don’t know what is.

Although sometimes, when she can’t find someone to take the photo with, she makes do with a slight difference. LOL!

Lauren reached out to @diana_alexa, but instead of apologizing, she refused to acknowledge what she did wrong. According to the travel blogger, “When I messaged her about discovering her page and how crazy and ridiculous I thought it was, she tried to justify it by just saying everyone copies us and even big accounts are taking same pictures at the same place and told me I should make my pictures private if I don’t want this to happen.” Unbelievable, right?

Oh, and in case you’re wondering, @diana_alexa has already deactivated her account.
