I scream, you scream, we all scream for…yup, you guessed it! And because dreams do come true, it’s finally happening—The Museum of Ice Cream is opening real soon, and the little girl in us can’t help but jump for joy.
For one month, from July 29 to August 31, New York City’s Meatpacking District is opening its doors to all the aficionados of this delightfully cooling dessert. And as if we need more reasons to want to book a flight to the Big Apple, the Museum of Ice Cream promises to make all our childhood fantasies come to life, from swimming in a pool of rainbow sprinkles to exploring a tempting chocolatey tunnel that’s literally called Chocolate Room.
According to Maryellis Bunn, the founder of this interactive ice cream wonderland, the project “is all about our shared love of ice cream, summer, and one another.”
The Museum of Ice Cream will feature a scrumptious and colorful exhibition that involves a well-curated list of ice cream makers in NYC, including Black Tap and OddFellows Ice Cream Co. Plus, of course, some ice cream-inspired (and totally Instagram-worthy) art and history, too.
Oh, and the best part? It comes with edible ice cream! A “single” ticket priced at $18 admits one adult, a “double” ticket priced at $30 is for two, and a “mini” ticket priced at $12 is for children below 10 and for senior citizens—all of which entitle the ticket-holder to a scoop of actual ice cream.
We can't think of a cooler way to beat the summer heat!
