Waking up early has its perks! Below, several reasons why you need to stop hitting the snooze button every single time your alarm goes off:
Breakfast food is the bomb. You can have something sweet like pancakes or waffles, or something savory like bacon or tapsilog, and those are awesome on their own. Apart from good food, having time to prepare breakfast (and actually eating breakfast) is good for your health. It boosts your metabolism and keeps it from slowing down. Since you've eaten, you'd feel energized and all the more motivated to start your day.
2. You feel more in control.
Because you're starting your day ahead of everyone else, you can plan the rest of your day and week, or organize your schedule. Not only will you improve your planning skills, you'll also train yourself to anticipate problems and already come up with solutions.
3. You have time for exercise.
Yup, even if it's just for a few minutes. You'll boost your mood and keep yourself fit! Those are bound to improve your focus and performance at work, and just make you feel good in general. YAY!
4. You have time to read up on the news.
This includes brainless scrolling through your Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram feeds. You have time to keep yourself updated without having to do those at work, because you shouldn't, right? So yes, that includes celebrity news, political news, and news from people you haven't talked to since grade school or college.
5. You'll have easier commutes!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAS! Okay, the commute might still suck especially since other people also think of waking up early for a less stressful way to work, but it's definitely way, way better than having to do it during rush hour.
6. You have quiet time.
Quiet time is good for you. For one, you can meditate and just take a few moments to relax. That'll boost your mood and help you focus on the day's tasks.
7. You feel productive.
If you wake up early and get things done right away, you would've accomplished a lot of things by lunch time. What more, your brain is most alert in the morning, so there's a good chance you did your job well.
8. You'll feel less stressed.
When you feel like you have a lot of time on your hands, you won't feel the pressure to rush or finish ASAP. You can easily take your time but still work efficiently.
9. You can end your day early.
Since you started early, ate breakfast, exercised, meditated, got relaxed, and kept your focus, it's very likely you'll end your day early, too. You know what that means, right? Time to go out with friends, spend time with family, go on a date, or just pamper yourself at home! If you don't work out in the morning, you can do it in the afternoon or evening.
