Local designer Francis Libiran and his partner Christian Mark Jacobs’ entangled fate—from how they met down to how the proposal came to be—is the kind of proof that will make mankind believe in all kinds of love. And as the couple held their ceremonial exchange of vows last March 17 surrounded by their friends and family, once again, we have finally witnessed true love win. 1. They couldn’t have picked a better location.
The couple tied the knot at The Lind Boracay, and famed event stylist/designer Gideon Hermosa turned the venue into a romantic, picture-perfect paradise. There could not have been a more perfect backdrop for Francis and Christian while they exchanged their “I dos.”

2. The entourage was decked out in Francis Libiran creations.
A go-to designer of celebrity brides, Francis was naturally very hands-on when it came to his own wedding. Despite the hectic schedule (we all know how stressful wedding planning can be), he managed to design and create ensembles for his entire entourage and made sure that everyone was dressed to perfection. Hats off to you, Francis!

3. Even their wedding cake was exquisitely beautiful.
According to Francis, Christian “put in so much creative effort to conceptualize” this lemon bourbon cake by Naked Patisserie. Love!

4. Once again, they scored an A+ in the #twinning department.
Both grooms were debonair to a fault—they donned a navy blue single-breasted tuxedo with a shawl lapel, adorned by a boutonnière instead of a pocket square. Except for the slight difference in their choice of bow tie, they kept everything matchy-matchy down to their leather footwear.

5. They also had a star-studded guest list.
Robin Padilla, Kaye Abad, celebrity hairdresser Jing Monis, and Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa were among the attendees who celebrated with Francis and Christian during their big day.

6. They shared a memorable first dance as a married couple.
Christian revealed this special detail on his Instagram account. He captioned the photo below, “When I first met [Francis], I'm Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran had just become popular. I remember watching the music video on repeat thinking of all the possibilities of what our love could become, but I held back for fear of heartbreak. Years later, we performed our rendition of the dance at our wedding.” Aww!
