Sisters Jessica and Stephanie Kienle run Philux, a furniture boutique that their parents founded more than three decades ago. Naturally growing up in the industry of furniture and design, they "became more and more passionate about it over the years, got more involved, and realized that [a career in] furniture and interiors was what they wanted to pursue.”
Since both sisters are also into fashion, modeling for Preview every now and then, they draw inspiration from haute couture for their furniture design. “I love when fashion is structural and geometrical and just plain out of the box. Those are the ones that speak to me the most and has given me inspiration in design,” Jess adds.
Since we trust their eye for fashion and design, we asked them to recommend pieces that add glam to a fashion girl's home. Check out their recos:
“I would recommend the Embla chair for the minimalist, because of its simple yet sophisticated lines.”
“For the boho chic, I would suggest the Gaucho chair made of cow hide and metal that we designed in collaboration with Solenn Heussaff, because of its organic shape and natural, relaxed vibe.”
“For the girly girl I would recommend the Polk bed as it is a classic design and it exudes femininity, with tufting and piping details on the headboard.”
“Our Sutter chest coffee table would be perfect for someone who is practical, as it has the dual purpose of a coffee table and storage space.”
Philux just recently opened another boutique in Shangri-La Plaza mall. Check out their store for more stylish pieces to spruce up your place!
