Whether you’re bored on a Saturday or looking for the perfect activity to do with dad for Father’s Day, we’ve got you covered.
Take a pottery class with your friends.
Stressed? Maybe it’s time for a digital detox that doesn't require you to bring out your swimmies (it's been rainy, anyway). Deep in the less commercialized area of Silang, Cavite is a pottery farm called Cornerstone Pottery. They’re the folks behind those Bag of Beans mugs you love so much, as well as some of the pieces in Girl and the Bull, Las Flores, and more. The best part? The owner, EJ Espiritu, also offers classes to teach the art of pottery that he’s very passionate about.
He’s very hands-on and can only accommodate a few students at a time. We suggest you call them at (0919) 9952022 first and book an appointment before heading there. You can also visit their website here.
Visit the Museo Orlina with Dad.
Tagaytay is known for its cool breeze best experienced with a good cup of coffee or hot choco and some bulalo (you should try Balay Dako’s sizzling version), but the place also offers other activities you can indulge in while there. Why not pass by Museo Orlina? Marveling at the beauty of Ramon Orlina’s masterpieces up close is the kind of Sunday dad will appreciate with a perfect with a cup of Joe.
The museum is open from Tuesday to Sundays 10am-6pm. Visit their website for more details.
Have tapas for brunch with your beau.
