Watching our favorite K-dramas just isn't the same without the original soundtracks (OSTs). Every significant scene needs to have the perfect background music to add to all the emotions. Just listening to the songs alone already gives you so much feels.
More often than not, though, these OSTs aren't selected at random. They usually are related to certain scenes or important elements in the shows. For instance, the 2020 K-drama Itaewon Class features a place called DanBam which is the name of the main character's bar-restaurant. The name in Korean actually means "sweet night," which is also one of the OSTs of the drama, written and sung by BTS' V.
While majority of the OSTs have that special connection to the show, you don't necessarily have to be a huge K-drama enthusiast to enjoy the soundtracks.
